Video Production Internship at All Pro Media.
The Fall semester of 2020 I interned at All Pro Media and it was an amazing experience! All Pro Media is a small company that focuses on corporate video, but also does web design and advertising. During the COVID 19 pandemic, it was really valuable to be able to get hands on experience while also staying safe. As a video production intern, much of my time was spent in the editing suite shadowing Tyler Shaul. I learned a lot about effective storytelling in the corporate world.
Throughout the internship, I was able to expand upon my skills I have learned at Elon. I learned more practical uses of the Adobe Creative Cloud programs and used them throughout my time at All Pro Media. In particular, I learned the importance of color correcting and specifically separating the subject from the background.
I was fortunate to be able to go to three different onsite shoots and truly get a feel for what goes into each video All Pro Media produces. Additionally, being behind the scenes and watching videos be made and making them myself, I have become more aware of all of the things to consider when shooting videos. I have a better idea of what shots make good transitions and what lighting helps the editor most.
I had the opportunity to work camera operation on two separate live-stream productions with All Pro Media. They are linked below.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned at All Pro Media was how to be a proactive learner. Working with Tyler, I saw him actively seek out new ways to edit and present content. I find that to be inspiring, and an important quality to take into future jobs and personal work. My internship experience at All Pro Media has shown me endless amounts of ways to be professional with clients, and still be very creative and effective with the output. I plan on taking all of these valuable lessons and new skills as I graduate and start my own career in the film industry.
